I'm fairly certain I've used this title before but I'm going to use it again because I can and there's nothing you can do to stop me. So there.
Today marks my last day on the North American continent for a couple of months. We're in San Diego at the moment and the ship is bustling with activity; passengers leaving, passengers joining, all the provisions being loaded for the pacific crossing coming up, and all of the crew members who are able to make it ashore are headed ashore to pickup their own supplies. I'm in a coffee shop just beyond the Starbucks where the majority of the crew stop to abuse the wifi... sometimes it pays to walk just a little farther and sometimes it doesn't. Today, for example, I'm in a Cafe where the drinks were good but the wifi is a little slow. Suffice to say I won't be getting any shows downloaded here and it looks like there's not much in the way of internet cafes anywhere around here.
A friend of mine is currently en route to San Diego from Los Angeles to say his and visit for a couple of hours; that'll be nice as we've not seen each other in a couple of years. The city itself has also grown since the last time I was here - many places I was familiar with are no more but there are still some of the old haunts that I used to frequent.
The next time you hear from me may be from Hawaii, Fiji, or maybe event Australia.
