So I've once again relented and installed Windows on my MacBook Pro, this time via Parallels. I can hear the fanboys and girls screaming now "Why?!" And, to be honest the reason is simple - a fair amount of the software used in the entertainment industry is Windows only. As sad as that is its just a necessary evil.
As much as I like to rib my Microsoft friends about having an inferior operating system, I do appreciate Microsoft for one major piece of technology; the XBox. This inevitably brings me to the impending release of the XBox One and the Playstation 4. While its likely that I'll be in the XBox camp I am interested in knowing if the XBox One will be usable in an offline mode because if it isn't then there's really not much use for it in my technolosphere.
I'm now half way through my contract and my time here in Alaska is winding down but there are still a couple of pretty cool things on the horizon before the end of this one. We have a bunch of pre-work for a musical project that will be rolling out sometime in the fall (unfortunately I can't discuss it here), there's also the two music charters coming up in October and who knows what else might be in the near future?
