So I've been home for a couple of days now and it's been glorious if perhaps a little busy already. Because I got home twenty four hours later than I expected there wasn't any downtime between dropping my bags off and jumping in the truck to help my brother move to Ottawa. After getting back from that I had a few administrative things to take care of to do with changing provinces and all that good stuff then, to top it off I got some sort of twenty four hour bug and wasn't feeling great this weekend. All is right in the world again today though and I'm ready to rock.
The weather is turning a little colder and I'm looking forward to the leaves turning so I can get some nice fall photographs. I've not been able to do this in a few years so it's all new and exciting again. I suppose it's really the little things I miss in being away from home: the leaves changing, not having to worry about securing every last thing in case the ship rocks, real television and, as I recalled this morning, a large shower.
This isn't to complain about my job. I love my job, even the down days are better than most people's regular day jobs but as they say, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence right? I'm planning a few trips for this vacation but they're still in the planning phase so I don't want to go posting about them quite yet... if they all pan out along with other things I have planned it'll be a minor miracle though. I guess that's the price of short vacations and being home again.
